Job Description:

Participate in product assortment creation, aligning with market trends, brand standards,
and sourcing capabilities.
• Manage product/collection development for various categories, including pet products,
furniture, and related accessories.
• Conduct market research to stay aware of industry trends, competition, and innovations.
• Review, analyze global market trends/sales to inform and drive product strategy
decisions.
• Lead market and trend analysis to create product assortments that meet client needs
and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Manage client presentations and create supporting materials for key retailers across the
US, Canada, the UK, and globally.
• Lead a team through the collection development process, from conceptual assortment
to final samples, ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and product
development schedules.
• Participate in merchandising and white space analysis to uncover new opportunities for
growth.
• Manage product development with suppliers, including tech packs, prototype and
sample approval, and cost negotiation (China and Europe).
• Travel to China and Europe for business missions; attend trade fairs to identify emerging
trends.  

Job Requirements:

Position Requirements:
• College or University degree in business, merchandising or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong track record of developing product into major retailers in USA, Canada and
online.
• Strong product innovation and fashion sense
• Strong Experience in consumer product development, particularly in pet or furniture
categories destined for Major retailers in Canada, USA, and Internationally.
• Expertise in trend analysis, product management, and collection creation for major
retailers across Canada, the USA, and internationally.
• Experience working in an import environment and managing sourcing and costing
process.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while driving
process improvements and strategic initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Team oriented with excellent collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel to trade shows in Asia / USA/ Europe (limited travel required)
