Position:Compliance Manager

Industry Sector: Fashion and Apparel

Location: Ville Saint-Laurent

*NO HYBRID – FULL-TIME IN HOUSE ROLE*

 

Tasks may include but not limited to

 

•Update, save and store all protocols for every team player’s visibility

•Train to Integrate in all customer’s critical path the proper quality testing protocol w/timeline (including all audits and reports)

•Review all labelling and packaging for Legal compliance (and customer’s compliance)

•Plan and schedule all factory audit according to the requirements from the customer and the frequency needed

•Review the audit report and communicate the next steps to the QC import coordinator and tracking and delivery team

•Create action plans for all failed reports in order to get all steps of approval in a timely manner to achieve on time delivery

•Think proactively to all steps that can be proceeded to ease a customer’s protocol

•Validate the cost of the laboratory and compare the internal and external lab cost to always promote the most profitable option in a customer centric vision

•Work closely with production planning, inbound logistics and sourcing to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods, timely delivery or import documentation and vendor adherence to the shipping instruction

•Represent the customs compliance department in CBSA and/or CBP audits

•Canadian and US duty filing

 

Are you the candidate we’re looking for?

 

•5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position

•Must have previous experience with factory compliance

•Experience working with majors (Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s AND/OR Walmart) would be ideal

•Technologically savvy, always seeking to address issues and research data using best tools or methods available

•Excellent communication; bilingualism both English and French

•Team player, proactive and self-motivated

•Proficient in MS Office (strong excel)

•Knowledgeable, positive, rigorous, provider of constant efforts

•Eager to see the company grow
