Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Designer/Technical Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating accurate and comprehensive tech packs, collaborating with overseas vendors, and assisting with various design room tasks. This position is perfect for someone with 2–5 years of experience who thrives in a creative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate tech packs to communicate design specifications to overseas manufacturers.
• Collaborate effectively with vendors, primarily in the Orient, ensuring clear communication and timely production updates.
• Support the design team with day-to-day tasks, including sample management, fabric sourcing, and general design room organization.
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create technical sketches, CADs, and other design assets.
• Assist in fittings and take notes to adjust patterns or specifications based on feedback.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions, providing input on design concepts and trends.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within fashion or apparel.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a must.
• Strong knowledge of tech packs and technical design processes.
• Familiarity with working with overseas manufacturers, particularly in the Orient, is highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to support various design room tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
