Position: Fit Technician

Location: Montreal, QC

Our client, a manufacturer in ladieswear, is currently seeking the assistance of an experienced Fit Technician to join their team. The company offers excellent benefits such as:

Responsibilities:  

• Need to assure consistency of the fit, quality, measurements and construction of each garment
• Ensure to provide the proper fitting comments to vendor efficiently - Send fit comments to the Import coordinator and makers
• Ensure grading standards are respected by all factories – communication overseas
• Effective quality control status report for each garment
• Inspect and measure pre-production approval samples
• Responsible for sending missing information on spec sheets - full grading measurements
• Measuring/sending/follow up with customers in regards to approval for samples
• Follow-up with contractors on a daily basis  

Requirements:  

• 10 years of experience in ladieswear, fit or patternmaking
• Knowledge of garment measurements and fittings
• Basic knowledge of Excel
• Must be bilingual (English and French) - Excellent written/communication skills
• Must have strong time management skills
• Must be organized and able to meet priorities
• Meticulous and detail oriented
• Passion for fashion and fast pace
• Demonstrate strong work ethics and professionalism
